Prima students have been accepted and often gone on to train with scholarships at:
- Preston Professional Dance College, Preston
- Newcastle College, Newcastle
Prima is 13 years old and we now seem to have reached the stage where students we have been teaching for a number of years are at the level where they wish to go on to train to become professional dancers/singers/teachers etc. Listed below are the major successes (and forthcoming auditions/vocational exams) of Prima and our current and former students to date (for child protection names are not given of students under 16 years of age).
November 2010 - 9 year old student attending the RAD's North Eastern Scholarship Auditions
August 2010 - 2 students to attend the RAD's Summer School in Devon
July 2010 - 3 students to take their RAD Intermediate Foundation exam, 2 students to take their Intermediate exam
July 2010 - Becky Scott embarks on her first professional dance contract touring for the summer.
July 2010 - Becky Scott (former Prima student) graduates from Preston Dance College with ISTD teaching qualifications in Ballet, Modern and National, Advanced 2 in Ballet, Tap, Modern and National. She was also awarded the College's Commitment Award.
June 2010 - Kelsey has been accepted (following 2 rounds of auditions) onto the Advanced Training Programme at Dance City's Centre for Advanced Training in Newcastle. It's run in partnership with the DfE to provide a high level of training for extremely talented young dancers
June 2010 - 9 year old student attending the Royal Ballet School's training weekend in Scotland
June 2010 - 8 year old student successfully auditioned for Cecchetti Associate Programme
May 2010 - 5 students successfully auditioned for the Sunderland Empire's production of Oliver
April 2010 - 3 students auditioned for the Royal Ballet School's Junior Associate Programme
April 2010 - Recognised status renewed with Council for Dance Education & Training
March 2010 - 8 year old student performed with the English Youth Ballet
January 2010 - Three students performed with Ballet West
November 2009 - Prima achieved Affiliation with London Theatre School
November 2009 - 8 year old student accepted into the English Youth Ballet
November 2009 - a third 8 year old student accepted onto the Aspiring Professional's course at Ballet West.
October 2009 - 8 year old student shortlisted for English National Ballet competition
August 2009 - 3 students attending the RAD's Summer School in Devon
July 2009 - 5 year old student attended the RAD's Summer Classes in London
July 2009 - Former student accepted onto the Professional Dance Training Course at Imperiya Eighty Four
July 2009 - Three 16 year old students accepted onto the full time dance programme at Newcastle College
July 2009 - 8 year old student accepted onto the SLP College Associate's Programme
July 2009 - Another 8 year old student accepted onto the Aspiring Professionals course at Ballet West!
July 2009 - 16 year old student accepted on the Professional Dancers Course at Preston College
June 2009 - 8 year old student accepted onto the Aspiring Professionals course at Ballet West
June 2009 - 16 year old student successfully auditioned for the 2009 Panto at Tyne Theatre
June 2009 - 8 year old student auditioned for Elmhurst's Pre-Vocational Programme
May 2009 - 10 year old student accepted into the Royal Ballet School's Junior Associate Programme
Summer 2009 - 2 students audition for Preston Professional Dance College
May 2009 - 16 year old student auditioned and accepted into Sage Academy
May 2009 - 7 year old student recalled to 2nd round of auditions for National Youth Ballet
April 2009 - Two 7 year olds and a 10 year old audition for Royal Ballet School Junior Associates Programme
April 2009 - 8 year old student took part in Peter Pan at Journal Tyne Theatre
April 2009 - Recognised status renewed with Council for Dance Education & Training
March 2009 - 7 year old student auditions for National Youth Ballet
February 2009 - Two 16 year old students accepted onto PMA Teacher Training Programme.
September 2008 - 16 year old student started at Northern Ballet School
September 2008 - 16 year old student started at SLP College
July 2008 - 4 students took RAD Intermediate Foundation Ballet exam
July 2008: 16 year old student taking RAD Intermediate Ballet exam
April 2008: 2 students performing with the English Youth Ballet
April 2008 - 2 students auditioned for the Junior Associate Programme of the Royal Ballet School
April 2008 - Recognised status awarded to Prima by the Council for Dance Education & Training
February 2008 - 15 year old student accepted at Northern Ballet School & Ballet West to train to become a professional ballet dancer.
January 2008 - 15 year old student through to 2nd round of Dance Catalogue Model audition
November 2007: 2 students successfully auditioned to join the English Youth Ballet
July 2007: 15 year old student awarded financial scholarship for the Professional Dancers course at Preston College
July 2007: 15 year old student passed IDTA Intermediate Modern Jazz exam with Highly Commended
July 2007: 15 year old student passed RAD Advanced 1 Ballet exam with Merit
May 2007: 15 year old student accepted onto the Professional Dancers course at Preston College
May 2007: 9 year old student successfully auditioned for 'We Will Rock You', she will be performing in the show at the Sunderland Empire in August
April 2007: 3 students were all accepted at Sage Academy, Newcastle
April 2007: Student auditioned and accepted onto dance course at Newcastle College
March 2007: 15 year old student accepted onto dance and musical theatre course at SLP Dance College, Leeds WITH SCHOLARSHIP
January 2007: 16 year old student accepted onto dance and musical theatre course at SLP Dance College, Leeds
October 2006: 11 year old student successful in RAD Intermediate Foundation Ballet exam
