Children have the option to take the full Musical Theatre 'package' (which is discounted) or they can choose to take separate classes in 'Speech & Singing' or 'Acting & Stage'. Classes are available from the age of 5+.
Children are prepared for LAMDA exam in Musical Theatre and Acting. Many of the exams on offer are accredited and can therefore assist with University entrance. Children are entered for Solos, Duos and Group exams depending on individual ability and confidence.
The classwork helps to improve speech, communication, pitch, tone and physical movement as well as being invaluable for self-esteem and confidence.
All students have regular opportunities to perform on stage in our annual performance. For this many students must learn to work with microphones and quick costume changes! Past performances have included pieces from the Wizard of Oz, Wicked, Chicago, the Sound of Music and Mary Poppins. Some of our students even attended a session at a professional Recording Studio in 2010 to record the soundtrack of our most recent show!
Please note: Separate dance classes (Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz) are considered essential for those students considering serious full time training in the performing arts
