Angeline joined us in September 2010 on a temporary basis and is now a regular teacher on Saturdays for some of our Ballet classes.
She is an Approved Teacher of the Council for Dance Education & Training, holds a Certificate in Higher Education in Dance Education from the RAD affiliated by the University of Surrey and is currently in the process of completing her Royal Academy of Dance Teaching qualification. She has also been accepted by the Institute for Learning and is a member with them - this acts as accreditation when teaching in the Higher and Further Education Sector.
Angeline attended Northern Ballet School from 2004-2006 and prior to that she earned a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts, an AS Level in Drama & Theatre Studies and an NCFE Certificate in Performing Arts, all at Newcastle College. She continues with her professional development by entering the Diploma stage of a BA (Hons) Degree in Dance Education.
As well as working for Prima, Angeline teaches Ballet at Dance City (which is the National Dance Agency for the North East) in Newcastle and dance to the BTEC Performing Arts students at Gateshead College.
Previous employment includes working as the Head of Classical Ballet and Outreach Coordinator at a dance school in Northumberland, prior to that as a Dance Teacher in a Performing Arts Academy in Northumberland and as a Ballet Teacher at a dance school in Tyne & Wear. She has been teaching RAD Ballet since 2003 but is now formalising her qualification.
Angeline has received training in first aid.
