
Rebecca attended classes at Prima from the age of 5. She always achieved excellent marks in her exams and passed her RAD Advanced 1 ballet exam at Prima before going off to dance college at the age of 16. From the very beginning there she was placed with the third year students for ballet due to her advanced standard.
During her 3 years on the full time Professional Dance course at Preston College she attained ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Advanced 2 in Ballet, Tap, Modern and National. She gained CDE (Certificate in Dance Education) level 4 teaching qualifications with the ISTD in all those techniques as well as an NCFE (Northern Council for Further Education) qualification. In 2009 she was awarded the Preston College Commitment Award and in 2010 she was presented with the Tap Award which only one student receives.
She has performed as a backing dancer for David Jordan, Black Lace, Kevin Bimpson and Kaos Theory. She also danced with English Youth Ballet and for Children in Need (on television) as well as in various productions at Sunderland Empire Theatre, Durham Gala Theatre, Preston Guildhall and Preston Charter Theatre. In 2010 she toured with 'Elite Performers' under Bourne Leisure and has also performed in pantomimes.
Rebecca is also trained in Health & Safety.
